• 2050 will need 65% more animal protein based on current population and projected population ratios   .......  the wild card could be the shift to "veggie " eating.
• Both Canada and the USA are shorting the market ......  to rise prices ......  whoops !
• Canada is showing 1.65 % decrease in production to May 2012 and is supported by a Chicks Placement figure of minus 2.5 % for the first two weeks in.
• Canada and USA have excellent storage numbers for January   ......  unless you are buying wings   .......  they are next to hen teeth.
• With Beef prices up on short supply protein buyers are shifting to Pork while the " I got to have chicken " buyers are shifting to boneless thighs .......  reported to be of equal nutritional value as white breast.
• Look for killer features on b/s chicken breasts this summer.
• It is a Global Market with a food shortage  ........   all Protein suppliers should be doing the math and up the production for new Markets .
• Problem occurs when for example South Africa ups their tariff to keep out competition.
• With all the talk of increase in food prices the Dow Jones Factiva posted a a 14 -month low in a World food prices report in December 2011.
• Brazil seems to have it all .....  wine,women,song and Brasil Foods showing a 280% gain in net income for the first half 2011. Brazil's main farm exports are up 24% in 2011 and a 20% increase in Poultry for 2011.
• Russia poultry imports down 14 % as they become more independent .....  they like TRQ.
• As both Canada and the USA plan to reduce the CFIA and the USDA expenses look for the importers to become the pawns in the union struggle.The USA plans to close 259 USDA units.
